Who We Are
Freyja is a women-led, non-profit organization with its vision rooted in the sustainable development goals. We believe that a justice society is only achievable through gender equality- thus creating our goal to uplift women and girls.
Approximately 1 million Canadians suffer from some form of eating disorder, and of those 1 million, ninety percent of them are female- consequently making it a gendered issue.
Freyja addresses these gendered issues by implementing re-education programs and partnerships with wellness centres and fitness studios to promote body consciousness.Â
We tackle eating disorders from the bottom-up: by youth mobilization and education.
