Who We Are

Freyja is a women-led, non-profit organization with its vision rooted in the sustainable development goals. We believe that a justice society is only achievable through gender equality- thus creating our goal to uplift women and girls.
Approximately 1 million Canadians suffer from some form of eating disorder, and of those 1 million, ninety percent of them are female- consequently making it a gendered issue.
Freyja addresses these gendered issues by implementing re-education programs and partnerships with wellness centres and fitness studios to promote body consciousness.
We tackle eating disorders from the bottom-up: by youth mobilization and education.

Mobilization

Freyja believes in the power of mobilizing for change. We offer youth training to educational institutions throughout Canada, teaching women and girls about eating disorders, their dangers, and how to tackle them.
